The Shapermint Crew is a diverse community of Shapermint ambassadors. Up next in our #ShapermintCrewLove Series is one of Shapermint Crew Brand Ambassadors, Amanda McHugh. Read on to find out her wonderful message for herself.
You’re one of our Brand Ambassadors, part of the Shapermint Crew! What inspired you to join the Crew?
After having my son, I was really self-conscious about my body and how my clothes fit. I found Shapermint and it was a no-brainer when they asked me to be a part of the team. They are a part of my everyday. I only work with brands that I use or feel passionate about!
What do you enjoy most about being on the Crew?
How supportive the company is, the body positivity and size-inclusive styles are suitable for everyone!
How do you want to shape change with us?
I want women to feel more comfortable in their own skin. Our bodies change, especially as we get older and we don't have to feel ashamed about it.
How do you define body positivity?
Body positivity is celebrating what my body is capable of, what it has done, and what it will continue to do. - Amanda
How does Shapermint help you celebrate your shape?
I love how Shapermint doesn't change my shape, it just enhances it.
Self-love is especially important. Do you have any particular rituals or routines that spark self-love?
One of my favorite self-love/self-care rituals is taking some time for myself at the end of the day, doing my skincare routine, and just reflecting on my day.
We absolutely love the fact that you use social media as a liberating force to celebrate body positivity and other movers & shapers out there. Are there any women on social media who inspire you to be your best self?
One of my dear friends and fellow Instagrammer, @confidentlycarina is such a force behind mid-size styles and shows you can be fashionable and comfortable no matter your size.
What is your favorite Shapermint essential? How do you like to style it?
I love love love the biker shorts. I lived in this summer.
When was the last time you tried something new that you thought you couldn’t do? Can you share more?
I took a leap this year and decided to transition to a new career. One that allows me more time at home with my family. I am now a travel agent and can tell this is what I'm meant to do!
Looking in front of the mirror, what would want to tell yourself?
You are strong, beautiful & capable. Your body doesn't define your worth.
